I'm sure this is a common question, but I have been unable to find the specific answer to this.

I have a 1 year multiple entry business visa, and it says "this visa must be utilized before x". Does this mean that as long as I show up at the airport immigration entry on the date of X, there will be no problem getting a new 3 month stamp? Or does it mean that it is expired on X, and I will have to show up the day before?

Thank you.

Current policy is to allow use until end of the date indicated. But always best to do a day or two early just in case of last minute incidents.

Thanks for the answer,

my last Visa sticker showed, =Enter before = 10.11.2012,

And my GF Visa shows now as I hear, 18.9.2012

So, 18.9. is also ok? Sure?

=Last day to enter= would sound more convincing for me.wink.png

Thank you.

As said current policy appears to be to allow through that date. Years ago there were issues and some officers would say you could not enter citing the English language meaning (although they usually allowed in the end). But to be completely safe I would still do the day before and if something happens would suspect the actual day would be allowed.

Yesterday I did a 'visa run' across the river into Burma / Myanmar from Ranong to activate the third entry on my current triple entry tourist visa.

I left it until the last day that the visa was valid, it said utilise before September 14th which was yesterday.

One of the more senior looking immigration officers came out of the small office next to the river saying 'utilise before 14th Septemeber'. He was smiling while saying this but from the jist of the conversation he appeared to insinuate that he's 'letting me off' this time although I can't be sure he wasn't just joking / having a laugh.

Anyway I got my 60 day stamp and said thanks before heading back into Thailand.

In future I'm going to do this at least one day before the expiry date just in case there's any issues.

Thanks for sharing, interesting.

Why not change to a different wording in the Visas as, =Last day to enter TH is 14.09.2012=

Than 100% clear.

Going to Myanmar in Ranong, I prefer to go to the -Andaman Club Casino Island-.

They have their own Pier and Immigration office at the different located Andaman Pier, I feel it more relaxed there.

Not clear which way you used, but I think you went to Kauwthung-Victoria Point Village.
