noob7
I agree the fee of B20,000 is a joke. He should be taken directly to jail to serve 10 yrs minimum. Same as the Red bull dipshit. B3,000,000 baht does not bring someone back to life. 20 years for dangerous driving under the influence of both alcholol and drugs. And 10 years in prison does bring somebody back? 10 years, can safe a couple of lives, don't you think? No, absolutely nothing to indicate a 10-year sentence would do anything to save lives just as much as a 10-year sentence might cause others more deaths. So, how do you see this guy driving a Ferrari again, killing someone, during his inmate time? Don't you think, that it could safe several lives, if this guy isn't having a chance, to do the same again? Next time, he's probably better prepared, Car got stolen or something. And yes, maybe he won't have a accident like this again, even if he is driving every day, in the next 10 years. But the other option ensures, that he will not have a accident like this . 100%! Big difference!

Big difference! The topic is about a bootleg Botox treatment and you are quoting me about a discussion of the accused being sentenced to 10-years "I agree the fee of B20,000 is a joke. He should be taken directly to jail to serve 10 yrs minimum." and not about a completely unrelated issue of a Ferrari driver who happened to be mentioned by poster as also deserving of a harsh sentence (20-years, not 10). "Same as the Red bull dipshit. B3,000,000 baht does not bring someone back to life. 20 years for dangerous driving under the influence of both alcholol and drugs." There is absolutely no reason to go off topic here ... If you want to talk about the Ferrari driver, I suggest you go to that thread. I jumped between topics, I apologize! LOL - no problem. I thought you did it on purpose to win an argument I wasn't having because for the driving thing, I do believe you have a very valid point. People and driving is near impossible to control. As a young hooligan and AJ Foyt wanna be, I was constantly getting my license suspended and being jailed for driving without a license but it never stopped me from driving or ever stopped my friends. But as for the Botox dude, I am fairly confident there are ways to ensure he doesn't do this again without a decade in jail. My understanding is that many of these people actually have worked in legit clinics doing this stuff and where they learned how to do it. The big thing is the lure he may have to what he sees as easy money ... kind of like drug dealers. Most will stop after getting busted and knowing the next time they will go away a very long time but others just can't stop due to the easy money. Edit: I just don't like the idea of prison sentences for the sake of punishment or justice but do believe in prison sentences if it will discourage that person (don't believe in using somebody to set an example for others either) from doing his crime again and if it protects the public as well as believing in restitution. Sadly, there isn't an easy way (or any real way) to determine who really has learned their lesson or got a wake up call because of a tragic event (death) and who will keep right on doing their bad behavior if not put under somebody else's control (jail) but for some crimes there certainly does seem to be a much higher rate or repeat offenses and higher potential for hurting others. Payboy
You design a food that increases the mental capacity of TV members and you'll get the Nobel Prize for Medicine. Carry on. We live in hope... Beer was invented in 9500 BC.

anon210
It is very easy for any of us to make such comments, but they may be underpinned by unqualified assumptions. Do we really know that her family are living a good life style, or that they are lazy (OK, I know there are many instances of this) ...or might there be some mitigating circumstances, such as serious illness, or major disability? On the other hand, I am making an assumption that you do not know the family in question: if I am wrong, then I apologise......Maybe in that case, you could give us an update on how everyone is coping with this tragedy. I hope that whatever their situation, they can pull together to care for the poor girl until she makes (a hoped-for) full recovery. The point is not so much whether the family was lazy or not. It was that in such a tragic occurrence, all that comes to the mouth of the parents is "money" and the loss of support. Not the love, the sadness or the presence of that person in their lives. That is the disgusting part, independently from whether they work, are lazy or not. This being said, same thing happens in the Philippines, where elder girls are often treated as the "breadwinner". Regarding the girl, well... She must be really dumb to go through such dangers with a quack.
katana
Another story in the the Thai press today (12/01/13) of a Thai 'pretty' disfigured by a botched filler injection. Miss Jarunrat Yagong, 31, an accountant and part-time promotions girl, filed complaints today at Bangkok's Sutisan Police station against 'Dr Ploy' (inset), after she was left disfigured by the procedure, with an inflamed red swelling under her chin. Dr Ploy clalimed to have graduated from Mahidol and work at Yanhee hospital, but in fact this appears to be untrue. Police hope to arrest and prosecute her. http://www.thairath....ewspaper/319660 http://www.facebook....131763266984690

waza
By the way.........there are essential cosmetic procedures, people who have been born badly deformed or injured in accidents for example. By definition these procedures also carry risks but the benefits are far more tangible and essential in these cases. In this particular topic it's vanity cosmetic procedures.......so that's a different matter altogether. Sounds like she had anaphylaxis, these procedures should be done in an institution that can provide advanced life support in the case of emergencies... I agree there is a world of difference between cosmetic procedures and plastic surgery one is unregulated and can be performed by anyone with a little training and the other should be done by a specialist in the field.
