pagallim
The B2S book store on the top floor of Central Festival sells eBooks. Whilst they might not sell the readers themselves, the staff are likely to know where you could get them.
Old Croc
I bought my Kindle on-line direct from Amazon. Delivered by international courier to my door in Patong in less than a week. Followed it's journey on-line and knew within about an hour when it would arrive. Completely safe and hassel free.

I know it was much cheaper to buy from Amazon, but they did add on transport and customs duty to the bill. The end result was prices were only slightly cheaper.
