Farmers welcomed to insure paddy.

Thai farmers are encouraged to join the paddy insurance scheme for this harvest year while the Bank of Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) said only 500,000 rai of the targeted eight million rai of paddy fields have been insured.

Herbert Lom Dead: 'Pink Panther' Actor Dies At 95

LONDON: -- Herbert Lom, the Czech-born actor best known as Inspector Clouseau's long-suffering boss in the "Pink Panther" movies, died Thursday, his son said. He was 95.
