abrise
I live without working in Thailand for 13 years and have two condos , one in pattaya and one in Bangkok. I am usually going back and forth between them but I am now analyzing the possibility to let the one in Bangkok. Other owners in the building for similar units let theim for between 60 000 to 75000 baht per month. (90 percent of tenants are Japanese or Korean). Some friends tell me that most people in thailand wouldn't declare and then wouldn't pay taxes. What would you recommend to do , declare or not? I have no income and never have declared anything today. In case I declare, what is considered income? The amount paid by the tenant or can condo fees be deduced ? Can the agent fees be deduced also? Before applying the tax rule what is the deduction 10 or 30 %, it is not clear to me. In addition if I use external service to do the tax return filling for me how much would it cost ? I like to have the opinion of experienced owners Sure this question have been ask before but cannot find answers. Thanks for your answers in advance, it will help me to take a decision. PoorSucker
Let a company take care of it for you. You can not collect rent money without a work permit as private person.
