Grilled Frog

Featured Replies

There's a street vendor selling BBQ frog on a stick near my home. Has anyone ever tried it? I've tried frogs' legs and they were delicious but this is the whole frog on a stick. Are you supposed to eat the whole thing, head and all?

Having consulted my Thai Director of Catering the expressed opinion is that you should eat the flesh and the skin but not the bones and head.

Phad Kapow Gop (frog) very popular where I live. Kill the frog with a bop on the hesd, gut it leaving the good parts (liver, kidneys, heart), chop it up bones eyeballs and all and make your favorite phad kapow. Have eaten it and takes fine. The chillies will overpower anything and they make it hot here. Never seen it barbaqued on a stick, but rats are very popular served that way, not too bad either.

Tastes like too much bone too less meat. Similar like eating a boiled anorexic chicken. Also frogs have a distinctive taste about them i do not like.
