Meeting other foreigners doesnt happen to quickly in Bkk I have noticed, so I figured doing a sport I love with other expats would be a great way.

Perhaps its just to hot here, not to many people interested in running after a ball when its 34 degrees

You would be surprised. I played in that league for a few years. Thaivisa even had a team in it at one point. Maybe email the teams directly and if they are decent enough blokes they will respond. I used to help run the WF team and got emails from people now again. Some turned out to be good players. Others? Not so good. Most games are played at Patanna school on Saturdays and Sundays. Get yourself down there and check it out.

I think you may find that the league will soon be finished. They used to play from October until May. But they may or may not have changed that.
