Where To Buy Fresh Lamb?

Featured Replies

I'm beginning to get withdrawl symptoms as its several months since I had a good lamb roast. Does anyone know where I can get fresh lamb here in CM?

Is there a Tops or Central Food Hall in CM?

They certainly stock it in Bangkok and surrounding areas, I bought a leg of lamb last weekend, don't come cheap.

Makro stores have frozen legs of lamb. We buy at Hang Dong and get the boys to saw it in 3 pieces as they are quite large legs .The 2 of us get at least 4 meals out of it for around 700 baht from memory. It hurts me to admit that the NZ lamb is far superior to the Australian option and they do carry both.

There are 3 Tops and 3-4 Central Food Hall but that not where I buy a leg of lamb. Good selections imported lamb available at Rimping or it could be cheaper at Macro.

No fresh lamb - its all been frozen. As Sparkles says, Makro Hang dong Rd is the place to head for, much cheaper than Topps or Rimping for the same 'brand' They have legs, shoulder or Shanks from Oz and NZ. NZ is a bit cheaper and better.

Thanks all, I was hoping to find a fresh/air flown chilled source but it looks like I will have to stick with the frozen stuff from Macro :(
