October 29, 201213 yr So after three years my trusty iPhone 3GS finally died on me yesterday. I was waiting for the iPhone 5 to come to Thailand but I'm guessing it's not going to be here for another month or two (the ones in BKK are 33K from what I've heard, and not worth it yet). Anyway, I don't know what the deal is with all of the phone stalls you see everywhere, so I guess I'm asking because I want to make sure I get a warranty etc. Are the MacZone places in Kad Sun Kaew 'official'? Anywhere in Airport Plaza I can go like Telewiz that will do it?
October 29, 201213 yr Author Just Googled. Seems like you're right: http://www.bangkokpost.com/tech/computer/318318/iphone-5-in-thailand-on-nov-2 I hope it's true. I'll wait then and borrow a friends old Nokia. Thanks for the heads up!
October 30, 201213 yr Bought a few at AIS main branch which has a few employees who not only speak English well but know the phones and how to set-up and help with the different plans offered etc. I found same price as others Thai ones and I believe MacZone does all the warranty work. I didn't buy there because they aren't very helpful or knowledgeable about the products they sell and one gets a discount if you buy a package of phone and service plan which they don't offer. The AIS office is off Loy Kroi, take a left at the second to last major intersection near the night bazzar and it's down on your left.

Actually you have to go all the way down to Thai Pa road it is on the corner there. Yes there is a Mac store in the Airport Mall they have all the Mac products there. It is on the same level as IT There are English speaking staff there.
October 30, 201213 yr Order direct from the Apple store - very simple and at least you know it's not a copy !
October 30, 201213 yr True has a booth just inside the side door at Siam TV offering iPads and iPhones with a package. The iPad deal looked good value - it's worth a look.
