It's about 5mm long. Every day, one or two crawl out from a crack between the floor and wall of my shower. They live through kitchen spray, bleach and toilet cleaner. The only thing that keeps them away for a day or two is Vixol (20% hydrochloric acid). But Vixol doesn't do the wall or floor any good.

So I'm going to re-grout the crack and entomb the little buggers. Hopefully they won't find another hole to crawl out from.

This is an earwig, characterised by their forceps pincers at the ent of the abdomen.

In Thailand there are many kinds of earwigs. They are absolutely harmless.

Thanks, people, for your replies. Yes, I wondered if it was a miniature earwig. Strange that it is so small compared to the UK version as most bugs and plants seem to grow faster and bigger here than in the west.
