You people are pretty amazing...........

A constant stream of pathetic, school boy comments.

Almost amusing to read but no thought to the consequences for Thailand should he be assassinated ( murdered ).

It would almost certainly tip the country towards more strife and division and other than the folks on here, who in their right mind wants that ???

As for the nutter who wishes to donate to a "hit fund", well, that's just another fruit cake.

It sounds like you actually believe it. :cheesy:

Straight from the lower 5th , eh ? why bother.

Anyone know where I can make a donation to the assassins? Traveling to Dubai was not part of the original plan poor buggers. In fact this is nothing new here - couple of the Generals (not saying Police or Army) I play golf with, told me this two years ago - and they made the point then Shinawatra can't come back and knows it! He would be a 'dead man walking' in the vernacular.

But according to everyone here he is still running the country and organising his sister to fill in while he is away.

I wonder if those Generals are still there now, I think not. With the new Shinawatra Government in power, any old hangeroners were extracted from the forces long ago.

Better luck next time!

Why is it y'all - a lot of you anyway - are as hot-tempered on this topic as the many "jai-ron" (rawn, I guess for Brits and such...)? It's still old against new money, more or less - it still baffles me that the leftists mostly chose the "New" money - allthough "new" seems a bit more ruthless; might be better at doing the freebee stunts? Whatever: none of them, and Mr. T. the least care about the people!

Changes will only come with the grass-roots better educated and a growing middle-class tiring of handing out tea-money. You all can do your bit by not siding with you're idiot brother-in-law or whoever, stop barking up all the wrong trees and do as you're mother should have taught you: You don't all sound like you passed grade-school but I assume you have, so: Lend the coloured shirt discussions a voice of reason! Ask you're brother-in-law or whoever why politicians no matter color are so filthy rich? I a country where drug-lords, politicians, army and police control most of the country a fair country? Be a voice of reason, and hopefully this way of thought will spread. All you English-teachers have a mission, don't miss the opportunity to maybe make a difference.

And by the way: according to a very reliable source: T. was in Myanmar last week...

@tulsathit

Love this Panthongtae's quote: I know you (Reds) want to see him in the flesh. But I'm afraid if he goes there you might not see him alive.

@tulsathit

Panthongtae to Thaksin: If you think it's safe to go to Tachilek, I and Aim and Ink will be there too.

@tulsathit

Thai govt has backed up Thaksin's son on his "suspicion" of assassination plot, saying investigation on-going.

@tulsathit

Thaksin's Tachilek plan in doubt after his son begged him not to go & threatened to "take all my sisters there" if TS insists on coming.

@tulsathit

TR @WassanaNanuam: Sukampol: If I asked Oak not to write ab attempts to kill TS, I'd have to ask hundreds others. Just ignore it.

@tulsathit

According to Panthongtae, there have been 4-5 attempts on Thaksin's life, "and if I don't speak out there can b 6-7-8 till my dad's gone."

@tulsathit

Panthongtae, on his FB, claims he learned of the Thaksin assassination plot from "authorities".

@tulsathit

Thaksin's son Panthongtae claims war weapons reportedly seized in Tachilek this weekend were part of plot to kill his dad.

Sounds like Thaksin had a reason to cancel his trip and decided this excuse would kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

It only seems like there's been more...

.

Low and behold, I just read in the paper that the guy caught by the Police with all the weapons, has recanted his story and the whole thing was made up by him. Maby he thought he would get off with a warning with all those weapons.

Phil - The reason there are so many school yard comments is because this is a school yard story. This story is a twisting of the truth. An ethnic minority man was caught with a load of weapons including RPGs 100'000 rounds of ammunition and a large number of automatic and semi automatic weapons. Now that is not the arsenal to assassinate someone, that is a hefty weapons cache for the armed rebels in the Shan and Karen state.

Its fairly clear (and clever) that this seizure, coinciding with Taksin visit and the right spin make for good press coverage and portray Taksin as the innocent victim of a vile and evil plot to exterminate him. And we all know taksin favorite position - On the front page of as many newspapers as possible. Guess where he'll be tomorrow???

A hired Karen rebel assasinating an ex PM on the lamb plus some of his supporters and who knows who else under the noses of some of the toughest security forces in the world whilst he's making merit in a Buddhist temple in Myanmar is a bit far fetched even for Thailand.... even in a miracle year.

Difficult to see how that would benefit his enemies if it was a masterminded political plot as claimed.

If he confirmed his own corruption, the corruption that runs with his colleagues, and his personal addictive problems, including those of family members, then we may believe a slight shred of evidence.

Until then; "Top o' the mornin' to ya!"

Maybe he should head for home, he should feel safe amongst all his faithful red-friends.

The only problem (actually it's probably very good news for Thailand) is he has no b+lls and more than likely he will never set foot back in Thailand.

And from another thread on Thai News

BANGKOK, Nov 5 - Thai Defence Minister Sukumpol Suwanatat said he has not been informed of a possible assassination attempt against convicted ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra who is to visit Myanmar this week , but he said it is the responsibility of the Myanmar authorities to provide security for him.

A pity that Chalerm blows the Governments own Defence Minister out of the water by issuing a contrary statement. Thailand, the hub of tangled webs of deceit!

Well, to start with most of us appreciate that the assassination attempt is most likely BS. That you don't get that is probably linked to your problem of identifying hypocrisy.

Secondly, would removing the motifying factor and financier of the largest part of the political division cause an increase or decrease in same. For one, I'd take the risk.

Chalerm Confirms Assassination Plot Against Thaksin

What a pathetic heap of crap. Chalerm should be made Minister for Agriculture as he spreads nothing but bull shit. Had there been any substantive acts to neautralize Thaksin the REDS would have used it as fuel in defence of their overwhelming support for their glorious leader.

And as for that pathetic little ponce of a son , someone should enlighten the little idiot that finding war weapons in Burma requires no stretch of the imagination. The country has been under military rule for decades. Perhaps his dad should ask for a refund regarding his education

Nicely put my man...

I agree with the poster who said, more likely only 200 people were pitching up to see their hero, a bit of a repeat of the USA. I imagine the majority of reds would like to punch Thaksin at the moment for failing to bestow the gift of a Ministerial Position on Jatuporn The Fat. Faced with such underwhelming support Thaksin has cancelled. I have no idea how long this pathetic charade can continue. Can a real, honest journalist get on to the case and bust this family wide open please. This is the kind of situation a research Journo in the UK or the States would dream about having on their own turf.

Wonder if they will be carged 200 USD to dine with thier God as well?bah.gif

Maybe the question should be "the best, least corrupt, politician the country can afford" ?

Mind you dad, shopping in Paris might be better. We had so much fun in May 2010 and Auntie Yingluck on her recent trip got some more interesting addresses smile.png

While the useful idiot red shirts were baking in the sun eating dried fish getting ready to be sacrificed for the dear leader's cause which so far has failed.

Same as in his US trip?cheesy.gif
