A retirement care facility is due to open in Chiang Mai in January. The facility will have both on-site carers and nurses and will cater for different levels of required care, starting with those who are relatively independent but want the security of on-site care as well as the provision of services such as meals and laundry. We would take someone in this position but we are not a medical facility. If a lot of medical care is necessary, i.e. over and above what nurses and a visiting doctor can give, there are possibly better places. As a place for someone to spend with care and some nursing then we are an available choice.

Actually, there aren't better places; there aren't any places (for those who wish tio avoid hospitalization) this is a huge gap and big need.
