Normally they will tell you upfront if you will not qualify - but in a case of new passport but having a history in computer it could happen but have not seen any such reports here. Suspect such check normally limited to black listings rather than checking entries.

depends what time your flight leaves ?

you can get the vientiane to udon city center bus which leaves at 14:00, 15:00 or 16:30 ,, it usually takes an hour to get thru the border then another hour to udon thani - price is only 22,000 kip - they are always full and can only buy a ticket on the same day in the morning is advised , you'll have to get another tuk tuk 100 baht or so to the airport.

the bus station in vientiane is quite close to the thai consulate.

if your travelling light you can probably get dropped off at the outskirts of udon thani and get a cheap tuk tuk to the airport avoiding the city center - have a look on a map and see where the airport is - i took the bus recently and few people were talking to the driver and getting off at different locations .

you can also take a bus from nong khai to udon thani bus station but it takes a long time and you'll have to get extra tuk tuks etc so probably not worth doing.

uk, america and australia , i'm sure there's others in euro and the rest of the world except for ones close to thailand.

maybe you can do a postal application but it gets expensive sending your passport around the world safely.

It is not legal to send your passport from Thailand to get a visa for Thailand. You could be easily caught with a visa obtained that way on departure or return because the date the visa was issued would show you were in Thailand when it was issued.

Bali honorary Thai consulate issues 3 entry tourist visas valid for 6 months.

yes your right you will have to goto a different country than thailand then send your passport away.

are you sure bali are offering triple entries because a recent post said they are quite strict and even when getting a single entry you have to show flight info. etc.

maybe bali just want to see the one entry and exit flight and still issue a triple ??

Hi

When you apply for the tourist visa, double or single entry, do you need to show them a flight ticket that shows you will be out in 60(or 90) days from when you enter the country or something like that?

That depends upon which embassy or consulate you go to.

Most of the embassies and consulates in countries bordering Thailand do not require a departure ticket.

Do you know about Vientiane require a departure ticket from Thailand?

Thinking about taking the Bangkok-Vientiane trip with thaivisaservice. And what kind of proof of "money" do you need? Bank account or something like that? Or cash haha.

Vientiane does not ask for ticket. The visa is 1000 baht per entry. They do not ask for proof you have money to support yourself.

Okay sounds good. I don't get the last sentence though? No prove of bank records or something like that?

" Evidence of adequate finance (20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family) "

They do not ask for the above which is on list of requirements on MFA website for tourist visas.

Yangon, Myanmar issuing double entry visas too.

Sent from my ALCATEL_one_touch_918D

Thanks... my original plan was to do a two week trip to Myanmar for a vacation but I gave up after I saw the prices of the hotels. That, and trying to organize transportation and find "perfect" US$ here in Chiang Mai make the trip not worth the hassle.
