Chalerm Uneasy With Nov 24 Mass Rally

webfact

Recommended Posts

He's hedging his bets to keep his own ass in the clear.

50,000 police on duty, yep, oh, oh, he is doing his job.

And how many are on duty every day nation wide?

If 'a third party tries to make this rally go bad',

it would be as likely someone trying to cause the need for a clamp down,

and redux of Samaks failed S.O.E. State Of Emergency,

which would have allowed marshal law,

and greatly increased government control of society

AND military to " keep on top of the trouble ".

And also similar to Thaksins faux 'attempted assassination'

in his last summer of discontent in office.

An age old set of fascist methods for increasing control.

And control is the name of the game.

The curse of the dreaded 'Third Hand' strikes again....!

But FIFTY THOUSAND police for a peaceful demo? Or will there really only be a handful in plain clothes so when the hundred thousand show up they can say it was really only half that.

When Chalerm says "third party", I think "Ai Peud".

For the uninitiated Ai Peud is the Chalerm-made-up killer of the police Sargent-major, not his son.

Chalerm blamed "Ai Peud", his son's associates. But until today, nobody knows what Ai Peud looks like, or even if there is such a person.

Wonder if Chalerm has given any consideration to the logistics of putting 50,000 police into position, also where on earth are they coming from ?

Going to be great day for house breaking etc around the rest of Thailand if the police force plan goes ahead, plus the loss of commission by the constabulary won't go down to well either..

Reckon it's that old ear medicine causing him to act up again.

With no police bandits to hold me up, I'm gonna ride my bike without a helmet all day AND drive without lights.

I bet you a pound of rocking horse sh*t that the whole thing is a bare faced lie from Chalerm. There will be no more than 2-3000 police on duty! Meanwhile the commanders of the Police units on duty will be getting up to the minute accurate intelligence briefings from the newly appointed Director of The Thai National Intelligence Agency...Thaksins son, known for his self made incredible aptitude and ability as a counter assassination guru.

Actually the third hand in all of this is in Dubai. Big-mouth-sozzled-brain Chalerm is just providing more publicity for the rally although no doubt he has got instructions to use the police to prevent as many as possible from reaching the Royal Turf Club.

It will be interesting if the rally lasts into the second day - when the censure debate starts.

These protesters should go home. Let the government have their term -- for better or worse. It's the THAIs choice afterall. If they want a sh*t government, they can have it. Their choice (albeit influenced by centuries-old control over the education system).

We already saw what the democrats can do. NOTHING. They had their chance, and they blew it completely -- adding even more corruption on top of things. They knew they had just one term and they didn't make the most of it. They should have been focusing on reeducating the masses/spreading propaganda but they were too busy stuffing their own pockets.

At least the red shirts seem to be able to control their own. Can't say the same for the other party.

The Thai people are just cannon fodder in this game of greed. They always will be, unless they wake up to reality.

But then again... who's to say reality is better than the dream they currently live in?

He said 50,000 police officers will be on duty during the rally and it will be unnecessary to deploy military personnel

That's fair, given that the protesters aren't talking about burning down Bangkok.

His rhetoric implies that he's crap scared of military intervention, if things get out of hand that he knows the police can't deal with...... such as a coup!

Just at a tangent. What happens to all other crimes in BKK whilst all and every sunder of a copper is monitoring the rally?

Shall us expats all group and go storm the banks??? giggle.gif

-mel.

Isn't it the GOVERNMENT that should be in control of the military? I don't think the military has any jurisdiction to step in... at ANY cost, unless they are called in (by the government). Or am I wrong?

Just got this of my Thai news letter.

It is Jutuporn's take on the situation.

"

"We don't know how far things will go, but we will not underestimate them," he said.

Mr Jatuporn said the red-shirt United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship would carefully handle this sensitive situation.

"We know, if we go out and confront them, it will bring about a coup. If we don't do anything, the government may be toppled by an undemocratic power," he said.

Something must have been lost in translation, although it is entirely possible that k. Jatuporn knows the difference between a coup and toppling a government by undemocratic powers rolleyes.gif

I think he has a doctorate in it.

That as only part of the article. My take on it was he is worried.

Must be really easy to control a mob, when the only order is burn it down. Do you want the red or the blue pill? One takes you back to Kansas Dorothy

You are a very funny man. It is the Thai's who are holding the rally and if they get enough support the Government will have to listen to there wants and needs. To fail to do so will leave them out of the running in the next election.

If you had been here you would have known that the democrats had taken forward steps to help the poor people. All the time they were handicapped by having to please so many other people. Where as the PT does not have to please any one else except the voter and they are starting to worry about that.

Yes in deed The Thai people are fodder in the game of greed. A call from Dubai and the national debt goes up while a large land owner gets rich off of the price of rice he is receiving. Last year a call from Dubai and a dam was not opened up until the caller had brought in his rice then with a flood the caller says OK open her up now. I will give you a clue as to who it was he lives in Dubai and is not a Democrat. He has also recently completed a tour in the states where he was booed and met with no one from the government other than the immigration officer when he came in.

Do you not see some thing wrong when for the best price in the store the Thai consumer has to buy rice from Cambodia. The reason being because of direct meddling in the free market for the price of rice by the Thai government.

Are you going to get your e card another great benefit on the drawing boards for a huge money grab. Ponzi scheme

methink they will make checkpoints every 200 meter, to block the people.....standard practice

Good succinct post hellodolly. I would just like to point out to theajarn that the Redshirts are not a political party they are an agitation group setup and initially paid for by Thaksin to counter the yellowshirt movement and latter to provide cannon fodder for his mercenary group the blackshirts.

Seen that months ago when the 'charter amendment' was being discussed. After walking a kilometer and seeing lots of road blocks and even more police hanging around I turned back without seeing a single protester. Mind you I wasn't too interested seeing them anyway wink.png

You mean that's why the government buys rice in Cambodia with the local stuff being both priced out of the market and hoarded in warehouses? Wauw (aka Wow), how thoughtful, well meaning, taking care of the poor and us (poor) taxpayers in such a wonderful fashion blink.png

The red apologists always go awfully quiet whenever they see their lovely leaders in these clips.

You´r right about that. Also don´t want to know the link were Thaksin says "Democracy is not my goal"

Or the one that before the coup he was a Caretaker Premier that didn´t want to let go of power.wai.gif

Coming from you I will take that as a compliment. But I do believe they get some from Viet Nam. There's is good rice.In reality setting the quality aside it is a shame they have to import rice into Thailand. The Thai rice will not be as good a the Cambodian rice just sitting in stock piles for years.

Well I didn't bring it up.

But

I do wonder how much of the Cambodian rice is being bought at a cheap price by certain farmers and then sold to the Government as Thai rice. I know if I was a red shirt or PT member I would. But I am not so that takes care of that.

notice charlerm is attempting to divert blame away from the government if anything unsavoury happens, he has basically laid all responsibility on the Chief of Police - interesting comment

Chalerm is the Ricky Gervais of Thai politics, "wasn't me, it was like that when I got here" .... "Good idea boss".... "It wasn't me. it was them"

His master has taught him well, but has he taught him enough?

He will sneak out of a back door eventually.

200,000 Tons of Cambodian rice imported to Thailand every month for domestic Thai consumption of this "inedible rice".

:bah:

Thanks Yingluck.
