Thai's Living In Foreign Countries, Do They Think Of Us Like We Think Of Them?

You see on many occasions in the new forum here, that a girlfriend went a bit nuts and stabbed her foreign husband. You will see many posts slamming all Thai girls in Thailand believing that all Thai girls would stab you.

Also petty little things like a Thai man stole his mothers money and spent it on alcohol and a few farangs will jump on it like "Oh all Thai guys are this or that blah blah blah"

Do you think they have communities overseas like this constantly bitching about all the people in the country are all greedy, murderers etc like we have in our news forums and general forums here?

If so, do you know any? I would like to attempt to read them in my limited Thai just for laughs.

I'm pretty sure complaining about different things.

And sure over-generalizations aren't the literal truth, but many of them are a reflection of some degree of reality.

whenever and where ever you mix races and culture you will see the same problems.

The obvious answer is because they are different, they dont look the same, think the same or react the same, so there will always be differences no matter what. The culture the upbringing, the standards, you name it, ALL different and clashes will always occur, and mostly through nothing more than misunderstanding or mis-interpretation.

I read these rules somewhere.... 1 Never use the word old man without the prefaces fat and dirty. 2. Never use the words bar girl without the preface Thai. 3. Never use the words US, UK, Australia or Netherlands without the preface awesome. 4. Never use the word Pattaya with out the preface scum bag. Is that what you mean? I actually think we should get more sophisticated about it. Use more descriptive adjectives like denture wearer, or weight challenged or you know something to break the monotony of outright flimflam. Something like, Flat foot floozy with a floy floy.

I must also to be very bored because i also think it would be funny to look at what the Thai comment on

In other country i dont think there would be, probably they have no time or couldnt bother to comment.

most probable is they to busy with uni study or have a thai restaurant or working or making money in some way (they are allowed to do that in our countryswink.png)

sometimes i have look for thai comments on blog or news but cannot understand or get transcription for many words as is probably slang

would be interesting to find thai blog site and see news where the farang has got caught by police or doing something stupid,..should not be to hard to findsmile.png

interest to see if they say som num nah or stupid farang or something like that

what do u think? that only farang expat anglos have a monopoly on bitching and whinging and complaining and comparing?

the thai women ex pats here compare notes all the time, and it is not a pretty site to hear... they dont like the food, the weather, the maniac people the driving the religiuos restrictions the food again, balblabla....

they facebook eachother. also the thai men here facebook /chat adn complain all the time.

tis a rule. when people are in their home country/town/house, they complain all the time except when they talk to strangers, then everything is hunky dory. when in other country, they complain about how the other country isnt like their home country/town /house. but when they go back to where they came from, they wax poetic about the place they were living as expat, visitor or whatevr.

whats to understand?

I know a Thai woman in the UK who has just been given her life back with a liver transplant. She doesn't seem to spend much time bitching about life here.
