World's Fastest Men Head For Bangkok To Compete In Racing Extravaganza

Support races should be good:

Race of tuktuk champions involving the top tuktuk driver from every province. Phuket drivers are given special dispensation to use weapons of their choice in a bid to win; that's if they allow any other drivers onto the starting grid.

Motorcycle sidecar race: yes, Thailand's very own salaengs; however the object of the race is to go so slowly and take up as much space on the road in order to hold up all the following traffic.

Bus and truck drivers special race: no vehicles involved, just a one lap sprint.

Hi-So challenge: race between the teenager who caused the minibus crash and the Red Bull heir who killed the cop. No drink or drugs allowed. The loser gets to serve a proper jail sentence. Oh, the winner does too.

<snip> the construction of parallel tracks featuring a bridge inside the stadium started on November 30, involving more than 100 local staff under the supervision of skilful engineers and officials <snip>

The team that built the futsal stadium was unavailable, I hope.

Anyone know the policy on kids prices?

http://www.thaiticke...=1501&la=en

Had a look at TTM page as well. Maybe kids are the cheaper ones listed but it doesn't say? Perhaps contact them is all I can suggest.

I rang up and was told children are free if they are under 100cm and sit on your lap otherwise full ticket prices apply

Thank you so much.

Give them a call they have a number on their website. Checked up about parking, nothing in the venue but around the outside for those using their own transport.

Do any of the long Skinny Klong Boats that go to Bang Kapi stop there ?

Any tips to get there?

Edit: Here is a link to a Google Map

Take the boat up to the terminus,Wat Sribualuang (sp) and then a motorbike taxi to the stadium. Quickest - and cheapest - option
