Original Divorce Certificate Or Copy ?

Hi,

I was divorced in Chiang Rai in 2008 and only ever received a copy of the Original Divorce Certificate. I want to re-marry and now live in Chiang Mai. Will the Australian embassy accept a copy or will I have to obtain the original divorce certificate ?

And if so does that mean I have to go back to Chiang Rai to get it ?

You might want to check with the embassy about that.

If you need an original, you can try and check with any amphur. They should have the divorce documents in their online computer system, so maybe you can get the required papers from any amphur.

Don't forget CM also has a Consular Department that legalises documents, so maybe you can take care of everything in Chiang Mai
