Does Anyone Have A Sewing Machine They Don't Use?

Featured Replies

I've put an ad in classifieds, but I rarely go into them myself and I assume others don't unless they are specifically looking to buy or sell. Sewing machines are usually something that seem a good idea at the time and they gather dust in a cupboard for years.

I don't want anything fancy, I only do simple things. I know I can get the lady down the road to do things for a few baht, but it's more for crafts and small jobs and very unexplainable so I need my own machine. I've seen them in the shops and they aren't very expensive, but thought someone might have one lying around like a proverbial white elephant that they can dispose of.

Thanks for reading.

We have machine that been lying around doing nothing for some time.

I bought it for the wife who wanted to try her hand at sewing but she could never quite get the hang of it. Some how the stitching was never quite right, something to do with the tension that she could not figure out.

A couple of her friends have used the machine over time and they seem to work it OK. Anyway the only thing she wants to sew these days can be done by the little guy in the market.

I think additional bits and bobbins are around somewhere so if you are interested I'll see what I can find.

We are situated about 50k north of Bangkok so bit of a long haul to deliver to Chaing Mai, if you are prepared to repay for the postage you are welcome to have the machine for free. Don't know if the regular post office will take it but I can find that out.
