Going To Khao Lak And Koh Pan Ngan

Featured Replies

Hi guys!!!

I am living up in Chaiyaphum, some 340 km,s north of Bangkok, around Khorat almost. I am planning a holiday-trip with my wife and we intend to go to visits friends at ;

1 - Koh Pan Ngan (little bit north Koh Samui)

and than go directly to:

2 - Khao Lak village

We will start and take the bus down to Bangkok, and there take another bus south down to Surat Thani, we will be transported with another bus out to the seaside, and there be picked up by a ferry out to the island of Koh Pan Ngan.

After a couple of nights there with friends we shall go to Khao Lak village whih is situated onthe other side of the peninsula along the Indian ocean coastline north a bit of Phuket town.

My questions are, do you guys have any knowledge about busconnections Surat Thani or elsewhere to Khao Lak, just the eastiest way from Koh Pan Ngan to Khao Lak village.

I am very grateful for any answer.

Get a bus from Surat Thani to Krabi, visit the famous black sand beach, take a boat over to Phi Phi, enjoy the scenery. Take another boat to Phuket and get a taxi to Khao Lak.

From Surat Thani are buses to Khao Lak, with normally a change over in Takuapa. You also pass Khao Sok, if I were you I would consider staying there for a few nights, very enjoyable there.

steve has it right-of course. Buses run about hourly Surat westbound toward Phuket- and also from Phuket northward-via KLUk-toward Chumphon. You change where they meet-or maybe 2-3 kms on where there is more shade and food- Takua Pa. There MAY be-just open eyes and pop in/ask at any of the 100s of tr-agencies on KPA if there are tourist shuttle minivans.

Also there are plenty of direct buses BKK (you do not even have to go to that faraway SaiThai) to direct port for KPA ferry. try lomprayah-is web-bookable and reliable.
