Thanks for the last three replies. What sort of prices were you paying for accommodation down that way?

i recommend koh chang, nice clean relaxed beaches, im sure you would get a lovely beach bungalow for 4 people for 30.000 per month. koh is my favourite place in thailand.

Chanthaburi is my pick, good beaches close, has big c, robinsons, tesco and macro, lots of things to do with kids

This is actually a good sugestion, there are some lovely beaches down there without the rift raff.
