I looked at their site, I am offered ฿178 000.- a year with ฿20 000.- a year voluntary excess, I am 64. I imagine that this would increase astronomically after the age of 65 (typically 40 - 50% up to 70, then...). Much too expensive for me.

I see that Medicare International has been bought up by April International that has received a lot of bad criticism lately.

I have taken a cheap Thai Health insurance ( ฿10 000.-) so that I will receive some treatment, leaving me with the option of going home for 'free' treatment. Not everyone can do this, Brits can do this, up to a point, as can the Swiss, I tooka Swiss passport long ago.

For me, 49 year old male, price for their basic IP cover with cancer cover (both IP and OP) is £1,890 with no excess.
