The last New Year for this house, soon to be carefully dismantled has been sold for the timber

Purely out of curiosity, but do you know how much the timber was sold for?

I've often thought about buying one of the really old wooden houses just to rescue and reuse the wood to build a smaller garden shed.

The matching rice barn has already gone, 300,000 it was quite stylish, was carefully dismantled, taken away to be reassembled and modified to turn into a guest room. It was 6m x 3m, 1m off the ground.

The house pictured, 2010 I re-stained the exterior, repaired or replaced any faulty window hinges or latches, white enamel on some trim and railings. Not a bad job for an amateur, my free labour, owners supplied all materials, almost six years on it's weathered well, good solid timber throughout.

Same machine that was posted yesterday shown in action this morning. Just after this shot was taken,there was a loud noise from inside the machine that didn't

sound to good at all.Turns out that a large part of a blade inside a large fan that blows the unwanted rubbish out came adrift and that will cost them plenty in time

and money to repair.

Sugarcane at the weighbridge

The wifes corn is coming along fine. Watered a few rai again out of view to the left. Foreground bays need water but we had to wait for the underground water to top up the dam and klong. Pumping tomorrow (Friday 26/02/16). Bloody wind has been a worry. The mango orchard is 3km from the corn and we lost some fruit yesterday with the strong wind.

I've followed this thread for a long time and love the photos posted here. It has inspired me to put my Canon EOS 600D to better use.

A local banana plantation. I was surprised to see this in the middle of a huge tapioca field. The rows of banana trees extend for as far as I could see.

Fantastic tree this one,has fruit on it for most of the year with the last ripe fruit picked in early January.

I can count 39 here in this section, can anyone see more than that ?
