klikster
Have promised the wife a whirlpool type bathtub. Corner style works best for our bath. Brands recommended? Caveats?
ETatBKK
ha ha ha . . . I was just in another thread ! NOT Thai brand ! I see the service team every other months :-( either leaking, motor failure, control malfunction . . . imported equivalent is very expensive ! be reminded that Thai water has very high calcium content - hard water. it makes even our washing machine runs shorter life :-( buying a bathtub is not an issue, but maintain it is a huge effort ! don't tell you wife you learnt from ThaiVisa :-)
bankruatsteve
I would worry more about the hot water delivery than the tub. Having been-there-done-that, unless your wifey is already hooked on tub baths, it isn't going to get used that much anyway. But, they look good. klikster
ETatBangkok - What are the imported brands and how expensive. Re control function .. is that the electronic touch pads? bankruatsteve - re. hot water, I'm planning on using a gas heater. About hardness (calcium), I will have a water softener. And a promise is a promise.
ETatBKK
mine is from Cotto, beautiful look, but having problem too frequent - I mean every month something, either water connection, electrical ( motor ), or electronic ( control panel ). it was about THB200,000 5 years ago. yeah, I have a 10KW heater hooked up as well. imported brands available in those shops in soi Thonglar. price starting from THB500,000. don't laugh, a lot of Thai buying it.
