8milesfromhome
Can anybody recommend a mechanic in Chiang Mai that isn't Jimmy Autos or DayChar that could source the parts and convert my stock Nissan A14 Engine to run a turbo charger and all required other fittings. I have a Ford Mk1 Escort with a Nissan A14 1400cc engine, carb fuelled with an 5 speed gearbox i jut had fitted to replace the old 4 speed. Any suggestions? arthurwait
Go and buy an already turboed secondhand engine. To try and convert an non turbo engine to a turboed one instead would be madness. Edit: If it has to be a turboed engine. Just get any modern, lighter, more powerful engine instead. I Would like to go down this route, but i still need a mechanic that can do the job. My Thai is base base beginner level as well, so communication is a problem.
