It's worth reading this CNN contribution to truth and harmony very carefully. Read it slowly and you will see that the word "pardon" is mentioned a million times, but it never is clearly defined as a pardon for a specific crime or misdemeanour. Many GOP reps who anticipated that the Dems would (as they indeed did) be using lawfare to wreak vengeance on Trump supporters went to the office of Mark Meadows seeking blanket pardons for anything that might come down the line. Note in particular this sentence: McEntee testified to the committee that Gaetz said he asked Meadows explicitly for a pardon, though it was not clear at the time what the pardon request was for. This long tissue of fake allegations and obfuscations ends with this sentence: None of the lawmakers ever received pardons from Trump. Fake news at its best. -
