Chinese Wife Possibly Murdered In Koh Samui

KOH SAMUI: -- The elder brother of a Chinese woman who drowned on Koh Samui believes she was murdered by her husband. He has asked the parliament to help him seek justice for his sister, because the husband is wealthy and may evade prosecution. A senator will personally oversee the police investigation.

On February 7, 2013, a complaint was submitted to a senator at the parliament, Pol. Gen. Jongrak Juthanon, to help investigate the suspicious death of a female Chinese tourist on Koh Samui island.

The complaint was filed by Mr. Wang Haijeang, nationality Chinese, the elder brother of Mrs. Lin Lin, a Chinese tourist who died at Amphur Koh Samui, Suratthani province on January 18, 2013.

The complaint asks for justice for Mrs. Lin Lin from Thailand’s police and judicial system to give the maximum punishment to those found responsible for her death.

Mr. Wang indicated in the complaint that he went to see the investigation officer of Koh Samui police station after the death of his sister. The officer told him that his sister’s husband, Mr. Lin Yu, had reported to police that Mrs. Lin Lin had “drowned in the sea.”

However, the results from an examination of her body by the police hospital’s Institute of Forensic Medicine indicated the cause of death resulted from “the lacking of air to breathe, caused by pressure around the neck.”

Mr. Wang also found many other suspicious things about his sister’s death, so he came to ask for justice. Mr. Wang requested that a senate committee oversee the Koh Samui police station’s investigation of the case to safeguard the integrity of the investigation.

He also asked the committee to command the police not to allow the unrelated persons or organizations to be involved with the investigation and prosecution of this case by the police investigation officer until the truth is clearly revealed.

So was it rat poison, strangulation or was the forensic report tampered with?

How often are we told whatever the tourist authorities, or the toy police what us to hear? How often is the truth told here. The level of press censorship here is astonishing. Basically, we only see segments on TV, and in print, I the government wants us to see them. So, do you really have to ask a question like this? The rat poison story was very obviously made up by a cop, who was woefully in over his head.

So sad for the woman and her family.

Rat poison/drowning/'pressure around the neck' - but wait "the husband is wealthy ".

Obviously a tragic accident. ermm.gif

Yeah the Chinese need to watch more CSI so they can up their game when plotting to kill the wife.

However, the results from an examination of her body by the police hospital’s Institute of Forensic Medicine indicated the cause of death resulted from “the lacking of air to breathe, caused by pressure around the neck.”

This must be a translation problem, the hospital couldn't find the translation from Thai to English for the word "strangulation".

I do believe she put her hands around her neck and applied pressure, to stop the water from entering her throat. This after she jumped in the pool to wash out her mouth after she realised she accedentally put rat poision in her coffee instead of sugar. Such a sad accident.

Can't be suicide, she didn't have a plastic bag over her head and her hands tied on the back.
