What Are My Best Options For Paying For A New Car With A Thai Bank Account?

Featured Replies

Kasikorn Bank quoted me a price of ฿500. for a money order and then said a cashiers check would be ฿200. good for 45 days.

they would also let me withdraw the cash from my account and put it in a plastic bag.

How have you paid for a new vehicle and what do you recommend?

TIA

Ask the seller/dealer what they prefer. In my experience, all have wanted a bank draft - never a cashiers check or cash.

"How have you paid for a new vehicle"

Cash, no problems there.

Most dealers have accounts at all the major banks, so you could transfer up to 1,000,000 online for a 15THB fee directly to their K Bank.

You might have to call the K Bank call centre to raise your daily limit. The maximum is 1,000,000 I think. If the vehicle is more than that, do it two days running for a total of 30 THB.

I always do it with a Cashiers Check but make sure that you get a piece of paper with the Right name of the account from the Car dealership.

That's an outstanding suggestion Woodsie888. I thank you very much for making it.
