I have a double entry tourist visa i acquired in Laos, my second tourist visa after my initial three months in Thailand. I just this morning realized that I missed my 60 day renewal. I received the visa on December 13 and it is now 62 days.

Do I have any options that will allow me to extend this visa another 30 days, or is this visa now trash? What do I have to do to stay in Thailand at this stage?

important is enter before date, if that has not passed then the Visa is fine, go to boarder get 2nd visa activation + pay the Fine for overstay

or go to Immigration for the 30 day extension 1.900 baht + Fine.. just work out if it is worth it,..... re when you will activate 2nd part of Visa and how late you are as Feb is a short month

Just be sure you go a day or 2 BEFORE the use before date.or you will get 15 days only.

Not clear you have use the 2nd activation of Visa ? or you got the double Visa in December ?

Thank you. I am not sure if I understand. My 'enter before date' is March 12. That will be 30 days past my 60 days. So are you saying I can get away with not bothering with the 30 day extension, and then leave the country and re -enter before March 12, and I will get another 60 days?

You are overstay at 500 baht per day and subject to arrest so you have the option to try and extend paying what you now owe but knowing you must leave before March 12th to make your new entry for 60 days - or leave now paying current overstay at border and making your second 60 day entry and only extending that one.

NO.. Overstay = 500 baht per day.

I mean if you can get an extension from Immigration it will be for 30 days, but you must go out of Thailand before the 12th,, so in 24 days NOT 30 days... So if you cannot go on 11 March but some days before = less day

Hi everyone and thanks for your help.

I went to the immigration office in Bangkok today and paid the fine and was granted the additional 30 days. Whew! What a relief :)
