triffid Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Does anyone have a tip for a good deal on a return tkt departing anytime between now and early march - duration of stay less than a month? Best I've seen is about 36-38k all-in (qatari/etihad).
UbonOz Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Try Malaysia Airlines, THB31,205 depart 5 March https://www.moxtravel.com/availabilityResult.aspx
beano2274 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Air France and KLM have deals on. Also try looking at www.alitalia.com (they use KLM and AF flights and sometimes have better prices). Also if you are in Bangkok why not go to the Travel fair at QSNCC and try there.
UbonOz Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Try Malaysia Airlines, THB31,205 depart 5 March https://www.moxtravel.com/availabilityResult.aspx Also, you get to fly on their A380, KUL/CDG/KUL. https://bookings.malaysiaairlines.com/MHOnline/ApplicationstartAction.do
pattaya_girl Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I was quoted 43.000 bt here in Pattaya for return flight from BKK to Manchester VIA Paris. I found it cheaper online with Air France at 36.000 Bt. The flight was just OK, I have been on better but it didn't bother me as I saved on the price, which was worth it to me.
craigt3365 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Go to this thread and start searching http://www.thaivisa....als-for-expats/ You get a gold star! But seriously, if you look at the Meta Search Engines section of the first post, you'll probably be able to find a good deal...somewhere. Cheapest I've found is either Aeroflot or one of the Indian airlines. But some of these have very long layovers.
theoldgit Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Had a look on the ita software matrix and found a flight departing on 24 Feb for 27,200 Baht, Aeroflot though. Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app theoldgit
triffid Posted February 15, 2013 Author Posted February 15, 2013 I appreciate everyone with helpful respouses. I rule out Aeroflot; but I will probably take up the suggestion about Malaysian. Other things being close to equal, I would have plumped for the weight allowance and/or star alliance membership (so as to increase my Thai points), but they aren't equal - and I notice that Malaysian allows 30kg off the bat.
