Bought 2 rai of land 1 &1/2 hours driving east of Chaseunsao city in a nice village by a lake actually, for 50,000 Baht. Now, what would you guys reccommend that will work best for that region -1. either some farm e.g. pig farming or chicken or duck farming? Or 2. go for some crop example tapioca or something like that?

Thanks!

If the land/soil is good then you got a great deal.....25,000 Baht per rai.

Is the lake private of communal? If you have free use of it then a small area of the land could be used to house ducks and then just let them forage on the lake, you could also put some fish cages in the lake and have make a fish farm.

Have you had a look around the surrounding area? what crops are the locals growing?

You best check what kind of title you have before you start spending money, you may not actually own anything. 2 rai will not allow for much of a return on anything you decide on, best to make a hobby farm to have fun and feed yourself with quality food.

Have to agree with you on this one, lake front land at that price. If it sounds too good to be true is usually is too good to be true.

Even out here at the end of nowhere bad rice land with no title goes for 50,000 Baht a rai. Jim

1 and a half hours east of Chachengsao? sounds like Pigeon Jake territory almost. Not that far from mine either. 2 rai, if you plan to build a house or even if you dont, doesn't leave too much to play with for crops better some hobby farming few vegies fish ponds etc
