topt
I have the manual (doubt there is any difference?) and in October last year when I renewed it I had a bit of a shock as it cost me over 6,000 baht - but less than 7 Sorry cannot remember the exact amount. Sarge
I have been quoted 4,800 baht, find it a bit of shock, considering that previously I used to pay around 1,100 baht for a Mitsu Triton (not plus) single cab (2 doors) 2.5cc auto. It's a 4x jump in fee just for two extra doors. Interesting to see other had similar experience.

Why the ridiculous yellow colour behind your text ? Edited February 19, 2013 by Spoonman

Previous car had greenish colour numbers, current one are black, thanks for pointing it out.

If you've paid only 4800 you may consider yourself lucky....the 'normal' tax for 4 dr pick-up is around 6K+ (or so)...

I understand that for 3.0cc and over cars RT is 6,800 baht, just wanted to double check the figure quoted (4,800฿ for a 4 door pick up) is correct

Maybe you do, but I have never experienced that; 2) no, farang or not farang has nothing to do with that, you just pay the price for the vehicle in question.
