The Nation

BANGKOK: -- The Yingluck government has failed the test, as the 18-month performance score is only 4.87 from the 10-point scale, according to Bangkok University Poll.

Still, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra herself wins 5.42, improving by 0.11 point from the previous survey six months ago.

The poll, covering 1,194 respondents to mark the 18th month in office in February, showed that the government’s highest score, 5.31, lies in the international affairs; 4.92 in internal security; 4.91 in quality of life; 4.65 in law enforcement; and 4.55 in economics.

The average score is 0.03 point higher than when the government celebrated the first anniversary.

The prime minister won the highest score from her devotion, 6.04; 5.49 from creativity; 5.48 from honesty; 5.30 from national interests protection; 5.29 in administration; and 4.90 in decisiveness.

Asked how her performance is compared to the first day in office, only 24 per cent of respondents said she is better than expected. Eleven per cent viewed she performed worse than expected while 38.6 per cent said she performed accordingly to their expectation.

No real surprise there. The upcoming Bangkok Governor elections have given the PM the renewed exposure necessary, the chance to be seen and smile.smile.png

Definitely not hard to be better than her brother's sycophants but please don't tell Chalerm somebody is more popular than him

The Yingluck government just as good as the Abhisit government two years ago.

Well, at least now I can sleep peacefully at night in the knowledge that the real PM Yingluck government is not really much better than the 'unelectable' Democrats party

The Yingluck government has failed the test,

The word is out and with no ace up their sleeve the rot will continue.

In a nationwide survey conducted 24–25 December 2010, by Bangkok University, the Democrat government's two years in power were rated 4.61 out of 10

So the PTP government who could rule in their own right and as were constantly told were elected by the "majority" of Thais, are now as popular as the last minority government. So much for riding the red kwai..........

He makes one wonder what he teaches and what country he is in.

Pity the poor students.

Maybe he is one of those teachers in the red shirt schools. Don't have too know much there.

Duh you no free Thaksin free you duh. Thaksin good. Thaksin free you. Duh

The last Duh was for the advanced classes.

Hub of 'Duh Elite', perhaps ?

Looking at the OP, I'm struck by the way the statisticians/pollsters profess to measure this stuff accurately to the nearest 2-decimal-paces, how likely is that ? wink.png

Lies, dam_n lies, and extremely-accurate government statistics ! laugh.png

Could someone please explain the parameters to me? 6.04 for devotion - to what or whom? Her brother perhaps - certainly nor parliamentary attendance.

5.48 for honesty. That would have to be based on recent history, and that she never says anything meaningful.

4.9 for decisiveness? 4 points must be for deciding what to wear each day.

The percentages quoted are not exactly worth writing home about and as usual Thai politicians set themselves a low standard which they consistently fail to maintain. Sad thing is the public let them get away with it

And your point is? The current gang are marginly less crap than the previous lot? So? According to surveys for which we don't know the mehtodolgies used.

This is about the peformance, or lack of, of the incumbent bunch running the country. But as usual, their plaudits and propagandists can only whine about others and hope to divert.

If only YS and her government would take a leaf out of Bulgarian gov't book.

''Bulgaria's government is resigning following nationwide protests against austerity and high electricity prices''

Edit for source:

http://www.bbc.co.uk...europe-21516658

And your statement will make sense just as soon as any nationwide protests are observed.

The last serious attempt at an organized anti-government protest fizzled out in less than a day and it was in a single location.
