I was showing my sister Beach Road, back in November. It was her first time in Thailand.

"All those ladies are waiting for a bus" I joked, she believed me, when told they were all working girls she was amazed by how many there were, and vowed not to let her husband here alone. My how we laughed.

Standard police response for when a tourist is attacked.....

Step 1. Tourist scammed, or drugged, or robbed by coconut girls/ladyboys

Step 2. If this event actually hits the news, police schedule a big clean up

Step 3. Round up whoever you can catch along the beach, and pick up a few thousand baht in fines to help pay for the mia noi.

Step 4. Take some photos of the girls/ladybodys at the police station

trying to cover their faces, and then announce things are cleaned up.

Step 5. Go back to collecting traffic fines, wait for the bad

publicity to die down, and hope all is forgotten before the next

tourist is attacked.
