February 28, 201313 yr Does anyone have any idea about chamber music in Thailand? Where to find it? What's on? Any good groups?
February 28, 201313 yr Upon occasion and quite rarely, there are concerts at Hemlock, a wonderful restaurant on Thanon Phra Arthit. You need to stop by to see whenever there's a notice on the front window. Unfortunately, they're not regularly scheduled, but when they are, it's magnificent. Usually, the top floor is set up with performers at one end, rows of seats, and the availabliity of a glass of wine from the restaurant on the main floor. Welcome to have dinner there (excellent food) before or after the concert.
February 28, 201313 yr Author Ah yes, I went there about ten years ago for a performance of Brahms Piano Quintet and another time for the Tchaikovsky Piano Trio. Two of the best performances I've ever heard, despite the dinky upright Yamaha piano.
