april81 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Hi, i live in krabi and use at home an Aircard from True Move to connect my laptop. Is there is a solution to share the connexion on wifi to connect another computer and smartphone at home ? Thanks a lot
ThaiLife Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 I use a USB aircard with a CAT 3G unlimited package , the USB aircard plugs into the back of this router ( purchased at a local computer mall ) and I can then share the connection via WiFi to the rest of my computers/mobile phones and tablets through the house , works well , the only thing that is needed is to check if your make / model number of aircard is compatible with this model router . Having said that my USB aircard is not listed as being compatable , but it works Ok . http://www.tp-link.com/en/support/3g-comp-list/?model=TL-MR3420
lomatopo Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 There are a number of "3G Routers" which can accept either USB Aircards or SIMs directly. For the 3G Routers which accept USB Aircards be sure to review the specs and user experiences as they do not always accept just any USB Aircard; some routers only work with a few specific aircard models. Additionally, your smartphone may be able to function as a 3G Router/WiFi AP (in the Android world this is called "portable hotpsopt" or "Mobile AP"); can you share the exact make/model. Are you using TrueMove H? Or TrueMove? Some here have commented favorably on this model: http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-MR3020 Another selection: http://www.totalaircard.com/categories/3G-Router/
