Specialist Cancer Hospital In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Dear All,

Is there a hosptial in Bangkok that specialises in the treatment of cancer? At home, my family have been lucky to have been in the vacinity of Addenbrooke's, and have been treated there.

I am not looking for an NHS debate, but for the first time in a long time, I am missing home.

This isn't a restaurant review, so comments like, 'I found xxx great,' is not welcome, however genuine it may be. I am looking for something very specific.

Please help....

All the major hospitals in Bkk have cancer treatment centers within them.

Bangkok Hospital has a dedicated hospital, Wattanasoth (separate building but in same complex as rest of Bangkok Hospital)

Among government hospitals, all the major ones have cancer centers and there is also a dedicated Cancer Institute http://www.nci.go.th/en/service/index.html

Waits and red tape are an issue at government hospitals but costs are much lower than at private, which is a serious consideration if you do not have insurance.

However it is a mistake to choose hospitals, rather you should choose the doctor(s). If you care to share the details (type of cancer, stage and treatments received so far) I could advise further in that regard.
