Need 4 Gig Mp3 Player

Featured Replies

It seems to be getting more difficult to buy an mp3 player in CM these days. I am looking for a small 4 gig mp3 player with some kind of display. I've seen 4 gig players with no display which makes it hard to navigate between tunes. Sony makes expensive ones but I would prefer to get a Samsung or something like that which is decent but cheaper.

Something like this:

Is mail order an option? I found the selection not that great in Thailand, and ended up ordering a SanDisk MP3 player off Amazon. It's brilliant. Comes with 8GB internal memory, plus a slot for Mini SD memory. I bought a 32GB SD, so have a total of 40GB memory, and the total lost for the player and the card was about the same as the 4GB Samsung player.

Edited to add: the advantages of removal memory card isn't simply that you can buy more memory, it's that when the MP3 player inevitably stops working, you can take the card out and pop it into a new device.

I think it is difficult to find mp3 players because mobile phones more or less have taken on the role.

I bought an i-mobile phone for less than 1,000 Baht and the mp3 player in it is quite good and the sound is great. The camera is very basic but does the job in emergency situations. My main complaint about it is that there is no direct connection from the phone to a computer, You have to remove the memory card to connect the memory to a computer.

If you have friends in Bangkok, I buy 2 last week and there are a lot in Pantip ground floor or MBK 4th floor for 1200 THB by 1 or 1000 THB buy more. It is the iPod 8 GB with screen and navigation wheel which come with headphone and connecting cable iPod to USB wai2.gif
