Hi all, hope u can help.

I work here as a teacher and will be going home to the UK for 5 weeks soon. I just got my re entry stamp and realized that my passport has absolutely no space left. I want to get a new one whilst in UK, and would like to know what the procedure will be for when I return. Will my visa in current passport still be valid? Has anyone been through this process before?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You likely have an extension of stay rather than a visa if using re-entry permit so make sure you get old passport back with pages containing visa/extension/re-entry permit undamaged and show that and new passport on entry - you will be stamped in on new passport and then have to visit the immigration office issuing your extension to transfer that information into your new passport at no charge (but many copies).
