Maybe someone can help me. I am soon going to apply to Australia for my fiance with a prospective marriage visa. I am an AUS citizen by grant and have lived outside of Aus for the past 10 years.

When looking at the form Q25 asks for my arrival into Australia and proof of residence ? I arrived in 1988 with a permanent resident visa but cant remember the date , also i have lost my citizen certificate and dont remeber this date either! Proof of residence? I dont have any old passports or anything.Basically i am afraid to apply and give the wrong date or proof and jeopardise my fiances visa application.

I would be thankful for any advise or ideas. I tried to fill out forms to get a certificate of evidence for citizens but they also ask the dates i was granted citizenship. I am sure there must be an easy answer.

I can only suggest you write them a letter with your details and approxiamate dates month and year etc...give any info you can...and ask for scertified copies to be sent to you

Dept of Immi should have all this on their databank
