Songkran In Phuket

Featured Replies

Anyone know how long the water festivities last in Phuket? Will likely be going next year (2014) and the lady who owns our favourite guesthouse says just a day or 24hrs - have heard it goes for a week or two in some parts (Pattaya etc). A day would be quite fun, but it would get old fast if it went for too long.

Thanks

Here on Phuket Island the water throwing usually only lasts 1 or 2 days.

Depends a bit on the location, in Patong it is a bit more than 1 day, maybe 1,5 or so, in other parts of the island it really tends to be just the one day, the 13th.

As I recall it was all over after 3 days last year (whoopee).

What is this palam 4 place in bangkok? Never heard of it

Palam 4 = Param 4 = Rama IV

In case anyone is planning on visiting an emergency room, please be sure to pre arrange your funeral, and/or have lots of painkillers on hand. Most of the staff is off for the holiday. wink.png
