Beware Of Apacer Warranty

Featured Replies

Apacer “forget” to mention on packages that the warranty MUST be obtained from the original seller.

Apacer does not provide any way for the end user to obtain an RMA from them. That means if your dealer is not willing to help or he has moved on, then you have NOTHING but a broken device. Three year and Lifetime warranties are a joke when it breaks and you can’t get service. My dealer, a major shop, refused to help because my clearly marked "lifetime" warranty device was slightly more than 1 year old and they only gives one year service.

Apacer does not respond to any messages sent through their website.

The solution: Accept your lose, throw the Apacer device away and buy a new device from another manufacturer and dealer that provides reliable warranty service.

Looking at the Apacer web site, what the OP says seems to be correct. See this Link for Apacer's warranty.

And below is a cut and paste from Apacer warranty lead-in statement which sure appears to be double talk for unless you bought your product directly from Apacer then you must check with the store where you bought the Apacer product for any warranty service.

Apacer DRAM Products Warranty Policy

This statement is not intended for users who do NOT directly purchase products from Apacer. Such users should check with the seller for any warranty service.

This statement only applies to direct purchasers of products from Apacer.

That is actually the statement for DRAM. Most other products read like this:

To obtain warranty service, product(s) must be returned through the shop/store which it was purchased.
