Hi

Im trying to understand the trumove packages on their website but their promotions use infographics which wont translate to english.

I currently have pre-pay. Its annoying as every month i have to buy a load of strach cards top up then call the call centuuurrrrrr and try to explain what i want unlimited package etc.

I want to move to post - pay i think. But i cant understand the different packages. Also there seems to be 2 types of sim card, a high speed.. and an extra high speed sim card LOL

So in laymans terms what POST paid package/card/promotion i need to get for my current (pre-paid) truemove brand aircard, so that i can use the internet as much as i want without accidently running up huge bills!

Thanks

No matter what package you get, you have a limit, with an aircard. If yiu get the highest package you still have a limit of 7gb then the speed drops to 128kb yiu can still use it so in theory its unlimited but after the 7gb or whatever you choose the speed drops. You need to find your level, which one suits you best. I use the 5gb package and then top that up if used within 30 days.

Hope this helps.

Do you have TrueMove or TrueMove H?

Do you use mobile data? If so, how much approx. in GB per month?

What is your budget?

How many outbound minutes do you have per month?

In theory it would be quite simple to stay with pre-paid, and subscribe to a monthly recurring volume-based data plan. Then you'd simply have to maintain enough balance - you can add value to your account in literally thousands of ways other than scratch cards - perhaps with a single monthly top-up.

In some cases a post-paid plan can save money, especially if you get one of the discounted plans, but you really do need to have about 350 outbound minutes per month to justify getting locked into a contract here.

Edited to add: I didn't read the original post fully, sorry.

For TrueMove H:

To me it looks like the currently available maximum plan which offers unlimited internet usage albeit with a speed limit of 128 Kbps, is 7 GB/999 baht. This option would recur each month.

There is a one-time, one month plan at 10 GB for 1,699 baht but that has a both a hard cap, above which you would pay by the min. or KB and needs to be manually re-subscribed each month.

On the post-paid side it looks like the max. currently available plan is 5 GB for 899 baht, this offers unlimited internet usage with a FuP speed limit of 128 Kbps.

TrueMove H resells 850 MHz 3G from CAT, with TrueMove H you would get high speed data.

TrueMove offers GSM voice and data (2G); with TrueMove you will get low speed data.

These are separate, distinct, different services and providers.

It sounds like you currently have TrueMove, but it should be easy enough to determine; can you look at your SIM card? Does it say TrueMove? Or TrueMove H?

OH, OK. It says Truemove-H. Im quite happy with the speeds and it is fairly reliable here in CM.

Telcos don't get any less confusing do they. So many different products, plans, technical terminology, caps.. pay for 10 mins and get 100mins of calls free etc etc. People surely just want something that works?
