Ten killed, 30 injured in bus accident in Thailand

BANGKOK: -- A bus hit a motorcycle on a highway in northeastern Thailand, killing 10 passengers, including a Swedish man and a 7-year-old Thai girl, police said Sunday.

Thirty other people were injured.

The accident occurred Saturday night in Udon Thani province and killed four women, five men and a girl, said police Capt. Prakong Maiyapan.

The motorcycle driver was among the people injured.

The Bangkok-bound bus crashed in Udon Thani's Kumpawapi district, 450 kilometers (280 miles) northeast of Bangkok, he said.

Motorbikes are a nuisence on main roads and will contiune to cause accidents till the police stop them from traveling down the wrong side of the road, when your driving at night and theres two of the idiots, one after the other on the shoulder going in the wrong direction its impossible to tell what it is and if its coming down the middle of the road or not till your 50 or so meters away

I've been getting tempted to clean a couple of the fvckers up a few times

True, but those long distance buses also take over the wrong side of the road when they want to overtake, and everyone else had better get out of the way...

The motercycle had decided to shoot out off a side road and then suddenly do a U-turn in the middle of the road.

That would be a minor road, and speeds a generally a lot slower
