I have retired from my position in Thailand and now have a "Retirement Visa" until October 2013.

However I have been offered a new short term position of just 4 months work to complete a project starting immediately.

Please advise the best way forward with this because it would take me 3 to 4 months to get a Work Permit and by then I would retire again.

My wife is also on a Retirement Visa but at present is in the UK.

I guess you are on extension of based on retirement and not on a visa.

You can not get a work permit on retirement.

You must go abroad to a consulate to obtain a new non-B visa with the correct paperwork.

Working illegally can case you to be deported and blacklisted.
