You Are In Thailand And It's Your Last Supper.

You're banged up and face your last supper so what do you ask for? Chances are given the situation that you are very unlikely to ask for fish head soup and the cook doesn't know non Thai dishes and wouldn't have the ingredients even if they did.

I'd go for Nakhon Si Thammarat sour yellow fish curry with salted sun dried fish and salted duck egg (plus rice).

What about you?

[Edit] plus large ice cold Chang.

I'd go to Gallager's Steak House on 52nd Street in New York City. I'd order rare prime rib with a side of Maine lobster, 2 to 3 pound. If it was my last meal the price of the meal and the one way first class ticket would not mean a lot!

I've never heard of sour yellow fish curry? Must be good if its your last dinner!

Personally I'd take more of the Chang and a couple of 711 tuna sandwiches. Can't eat to much if I'm getting rolling drunk on my last nite.

Gee it's a somber topic you've started notmyself!:(

Happy Easter to you all!:D

I wouldn't eat Thai food. That is for sure. In general, I only eat it because it is cheap. Maybe some expensive sushi as you can't get a really good steak here and I rather spend my last night enjoying the bars of Bangkok than being celibate in New York City..

Sorry. Banged up = in jail.

Lots of food for one but a good selection indeed.

Breakfast - perfectly ripe sweet mango over sticky rice with the coconut cream and crispy rice bits, pancakes with real maple syrup and fresh-squeezed juice from US-style oranges (not the Thai mandarin or whatever that is) and Lapsang Souchong tea with lemon and honey

Brunch - New York style bagels, toasted with real Philadelphia cream cheese, topped with top-quality wild Scottish or Norwegian smoked salmon, garnished with chopped onion, capers, a squeeze of lemon and black pepper

Lunch - Steak tartare, mix in raw egg along with the garnishes above, eaten with real sourdough bread toasted at the table

Dinner:

Traditional caesar salad, anchovies pulverised into the dressing rather than chunks, crispy croutons, fresh-ground pepper

Deep-fried blue crab meat cooked in the shell

Yellow curried crabmeat stir fry over perfectly steamed Surin hom mali

Filet mignon bbq'd over hardwood charcoal, baked potato and three steamed veg

Pecan pie, warmed served with Häagen-Daz vanilla and a little real maple syrup on the side

Used to live in NST so, Geang Som is not top on my list. I would say it would be geang boo (crab curry) made by my parents in law.
