Destruction On Beach Road

i am aware of progress and i accept it,i lisent to the jackhammers and know this will end this will pass,but today i have seen the end of our little paradise as we know it..it is the addition of the 3rd lane on beach road.last week as we walked down beach road when the music festival was in town and beach rd was blocked to all traffic all of dreamed how nice it would be if this was a weekend or even a permant thing.two daus latter the equipment arrived and the old growth trees were getting dug up.this all for the tour bus and the tour tourist who's only worry is ''god i hope the prawns arnt all gone when i get to the buffett''.i wasnt cunsulted and i live on the beach road,none of the resedents or buisnesses were even aware this was coming,and all along i was thinking hmmm'''mabey they will wake up and realize what is really important,korean tourists or old growth coconut trees that were here years before we arrived''''saftey'' or money,''beauty or convienience...
