For a male there is no time limit, for woman there is a time limit of 310 day (if I recall correctly) as a child born within that period would be considered the child of the ex-husband with all legal implications. But upon a doctors attest that the woman is not pregnant the waiting period is waived.

Thanks Mario , so basically if I divorce on a monday , there's nothing to stop me marrying on a tuesday ? - not that I intend to but nice to know , all the same

Mario is correct.

The foreigner male can marry as soon as he's divorced. The Thai lady needs to wait a certain period of time but there's some limitations to that.

The only thing is that the embassy of the male foreigner can see that he already requested an affidavit of freedom to marry in the past and ask to see the divorce documents to do some verifications before accepting to deliver a new affidavit of freedom to marry.
