October 23, 201312 yr will the update work on any garmin , even older models ? Garmin Express, the latest map update, will work on all Garmin nuvi models.
October 28, 201312 yr Today I found and installed Garmin City Navigator NT Thailand 2013.30Thai and English. It was a bit large (469MB) so I had to delete some of the unused voice and text files to make room for it on my 255W US version.
October 29, 201312 yr I have a Garmin Nuvi 2565 with free lifetime map updates. The map on my navigator is "Thailand StreetMap 2012.30 NT [Dual] ALL"I see on the Garmin website (http://www.garmin.co.th/mapupdate/) that there is apparently a newer map available: "Garmin City Navigator Thailand 2013.30".I have installed the Garmin Express software on my iMac (OS X 10.8.5).When I connect the Garmin it says that the maps are up to date. I also went directly to the Garmin update site. It recognizes my device and also says that my maps are up to date. How do I manually download and install this newer map?Richard
December 13, 201312 yr We were told by Garmin that they are no longer have map just for Thailand. It is now part of teh South East Asia map.so we have just bought one. Can anyone who has used the Garmin South East Asia Map recently please share your experience with us . Is the map in details enough to help with the driving. We plan to drive from BKK down south to Khao Lak area. Thanks.
December 13, 201312 yr I installed both Garmin City Navigator NT Thailand 2013.30 and Garmin City Navigator Southeast Asia NT 2013.20 in Mapsource recently. There are some problems with both of these. The Garmin City Navigator NT Thailand 2013.30 is dual language Thai & English, however in Mapsource most labels are in Thai. Some have Thai and English, many do not. That is no problem for those of you who read Thai, but not so great for me. The Garmin City Navigator Southeast Asia NT 2013.20 is a big step backwards from the Garmin Street Map series. This new version shows much less detail than before and some of it is just plain wrong. I don't see rivers and streams or smaller sois. Estuary shorelines are often missing or in the wrong place. If I were to work with it longer, I'm sure to find many other defects. So, for me, I'm going to stick with the older version Thailand Street Map 2012.40.

When it is in English, there are no Thai labels at all on my 255W. I just checked it again to be sure. I don't have a way to bring it up in the Mapsource program, however in the Basecamp program, it also shows up in English. I did another check and I cannot get the map to show any Thai labels at all. I remember the first version I installed would only show Thai. That does me no good. I found a so-called dual version which seems to only show English labels. That works for me. January 5, 201412 yr The only map that showed available for download had (Thai) listed in its description. I figured it was the Thai version, but hoped it would allow me to change to English. No such luck. Downloading to a SD card was not an option. So how do I get the English version if that version is not listed as available for download? Thanks. I have sent you a PM that will help you find the map download. Would it be possible for me to get this same information from yourself please? PM sent Could I ask you for the same service please? I have the latest dual map but i would prefer the english only. Best regards Edited January 5, 201412 yr by McGee
January 24, 201412 yr Hi Guys Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere - I am a newbie to this whole GPS map thing. My truck has a Kenwood DNX 5360 series multimedia / garmin navi thing built in apparently. Never tried to use it. Was using google maps/navi on my android but even with 3G AIS?? it's woefully slow and frustrating... Long story short, I clicked on the navi thing the other day and it said No map - unavailable or something to that effect. What do you reckon I need to do to get it up and running in this unit? Just download something recent onto the SD card or is there more to it? Any and all advice appreciated. Thanks James
January 25, 201412 yr Download OSMAND - Open Street Map Android. Good offline maps. Just used it to navigate around Laos and back to CM.

If it does, stick it in your pc and check what is on it. This is from my Toyota unit, yours should look similar. Just try replacing the "gmapprom" disk image file. You can get the current Thailand map from here http://www.noeman.org/gsm/garmin-maps/305941-garmin-city-navigator-nt-thailand-2013-30-a.html

January 27, 201412 yr Hi Guys: Actually I had a look at it - it's the DDX Series with built in Navi - No SD card slot. Cheers Are you sure your Kenwood DDX has a built in GPS receiver? AFAIK, it has the navigation software built-in but to use GPS you need the external Kenwood KNA GPS receiver.

Yes, the Kenwood KNAs are expensive. 10 to 15K THB if I recall well. Better to buy a Garmin PND. They range from 3,900 - 12,000 THB. They are as least as good.

May 6, 201412 yr Author The map version 2014.10 has been officially announced today. I believe the download form garmin.co.th should be available very soon.
July 15, 201411 yr <script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script> The map version 2014.10 has been officially announced today. I believe the download form garmin.co.th should be available very soon. Thanks Moris. It's already available for download Can either of you help me out here. I have a Nuvi 2465 with (supposedly) Lifetime Map Update. Purchased end Dec 2012 and registered with GPS Society. Did not update to 2013.30 due to issues mentioned earlier in this thread and I was not around enough to need to do it. Now here and getting fed up with errors especially on Highway 7 due to changes since then and want to update. I have Garmin Express - software updated but shows no map updates. I have downloaded Garmin Communicator plugin but when I go to My dashboard and say I have lifetime map updates it asks me to download Garmin Express again and I seem to be caught in a vicious loop........ I note the garmin.th site still goes to .tw for the download as well and using Google translate says something about an SD card? Any suggestions please? I also wanted to copy current maps to my laptop in case I screwed anything up but cannot locate anything that resembles any map files via Explorer - unhide hidden files is ticked but not operating system files?
