R123
I am planning a one day visit to Ko Samet. I have been there before and usually gotten off the boat and went to the nearest public beach which is walking distance from the arrival area. However can anyone recommend which other beaches are the best ones to visit for a day. I am going with a few other people who want a beach with good protection from the sun. Therefore: 1, Can anyone recommend which is the best public beach on Ko Samet? and: 2. After arrival , how to get to the beach. ? What transport to take and how much to pay? Thank you in advance, Edited April 3, 2013 by R123
bobdown1
Sai keaw beach is the main beach. u get a pickup taxi to the area and pay your 200 baht each national park fee. taxi cost is 20 baht each from memory. the beach is quite long plenty of boat activity and plenty of places to eat and rest. ferry to the main pier cost 50 baht each and takes about 45 minutes have a good trip cheers mark
darrendsd
Ao Wongdeaun Beach (sp) is the beach I normally go to there, you actually arrive straight on the beach from either the ferry, 70 baht or the Speedboat Taxi, 300 Baht Ferry takes 30-40 minutes, speedboat 15-20 minutes You have to pay the 200 Baht park entrance fee no matter where you arrive on Samet, for Thais it is either 20 or 40 Baht
