Lersuang is pretty good and air conditioned...about 1500 per month

The government gym used to be 3000 per year but they banned farang from one year memberships so I boycotted it (you can also pay daily 20 baht).

Thanks guys,

I thought Thanyapuya was like an institute of sport, only for athletes and die-hards? Will they let farang in who just want to shed a few and keep the tone going? Happy songkran all (only if not driving tommorrow).

Why would they boycott us from 1yr memberships at Govt. gym? Where else will they find regular clients to keep their coffers full? Bizarre xxxx, no matter how hard we try, we will always be nothing but farang in this country, hahaha. Half the joy of living here!

There's a new place in Manic village , Aqua Zen, is also a detox centre, a few weeks ago they were accepting 1 month memberships, 080 886 2197 WWW.az-phuketfitness.com

Manic is halfway between Cherng- Telay and the Heroine Monument. Heading east it'll be on the right in the Permsap house development strip mall that is before the right turn off for the Wat . Look for the brand new, highly ornate Buddha gate ( that is too narrow for two cars to pass each other ) There a twice weekly market here too with the best fried chicken in case you need to have some good greasy food, too.

Is this the out door play school set looking set up that is where the public pool is? Across from BAKE?

I noticed a gym mentioned before had a lot of posts removed regarding its sudden closure. It has reopened but Caveat Emptor !!

( also now has dual pricing for foreigners.)

Cookie, just get a couple of cinder blocks at home and just do 30 minutes of varied stepping and knee lifts, calf stretches, mix it up when specific muscles get fatigued. Get some wrist weights and move your arms around a lot too. Hold your stomache in tight, always to work it too, and train it to be flat

If you watch your diet, you'll lose weight and tone up very quickly.

The problem with gyms is they have to use Thai staff that haven't a clue on proper hygiene, very good place to pick up nasty skin problems, fungus, etc

Thank you EBlair48,

Now I am doing Muay Thai Gym at Bangtao Muay Thai Boxing as I am a Thai and this is free for Thai people and for foreigners is not expensive either.

This gym is just open not long ago as I know and far as I feel is not hi-end or comfortable but they are very friendly and helper.

I was start last week and I wish I can go there everyday because of my job I only be there 3 time a week and runing close to my house 6 time a week.

Anyone want to join me at the Muay Thai gym, I will be happy.
